Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and validation of complex defense systems, leveraging Systems Engineering principles, Python and C++ development, and Agile practices to deliver secure, high‑performance solutions for national security missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end Systems Engineering lifecycle for advanced defense platforms, ensuring architecture, requirements, and integration meet mission objectives.
- Develop and maintain system models, use cases, and traceability matrices using industry standards (SysML, DO-178C).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and validate software components in Python and C++ within secure environments.
- Conduct rigorous integration and system testing, analyze results, and drive corrective actions to achieve certification milestones.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering for defense or aerospace applications.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ development, with experience in embedded or real‑time systems.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile teams.
- U.S. Secret security clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
