About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine engineering policy documents that support the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to align policy with systems architecture and programmatic goals.
- Analyze emerging technologies and their impact on defense systems, providing actionable recommendations.
- Prepare briefing materials and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Policy, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems engineering or policy analysis within a defense or research environment.
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and policy‑development tools.
