Software Engineer
Join a global automotive supplier as a Systems Engineering Co‑Op, supporting development of autonomous and connected vehicle technologies using C++, MATLAB/Simulink, embedded platforms, and vehicle communication protocols.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in designing and validating embedded software for advanced driver assistance and autonomous functions.
- Develop and run simulations in MATLAB/Simulink to model vehicle dynamics and control algorithms.
- Support integration and testing of vehicle communication networks (CAN, Ethernet) and ensure compliance with AUTOSAR standards.
- Participate in hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) testing, analyzing results and documenting findings.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, validation, system architecture) to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C++ programming and experience with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
