Design and implement AWS resiliency and recovery solutions, including cross‑AZ recovery, automated failover, and infrastructure automation, while collaborating with technical leaders and stakeholders to ensure robust cloud environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect AWS resiliency and recovery strategies, covering cross‑AZ recovery, automated failover, and disaster‑recovery processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code pipelines to provision and manage cloud resources consistently.
- Collaborate with program management, technical leads, and external partners to align architecture with mission requirements and security standards.
- Implement monitoring, testing, and validation frameworks to ensure recovery objectives are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on best practices for cloud resilience and recovery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and scripting languages.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and operating resilient, highly available cloud environments.
- Experience with disaster‑recovery planning, cross‑region/AZ failover, and recovery testing.
- Active TS clearance or ability to obtain one.
