Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer responsible for translating user needs and concept of operations into detailed system requirements, driving design, development, and verification activities within a secure TS/SCI environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations, and high‑level architectures to produce detailed system requirement specifications.
- Develop and maintain system architecture models, ensuring traceability to mission objectives and compliance with DoD standards.
- Lead design and development efforts, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to verify that solutions meet functional and performance criteria.
- Produce technical documentation, including requirement matrices, interface control documents, and verification plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers throughout the system lifecycle.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within a DoD or federal environment.
- Proven ability to conduct requirements analysis, develop system architectures, and manage technical documentation.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, configuration management, and verification & validation methodologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently in a secure setting.
