Systems Engineer
Technical specialist providing Systems Engineering support for Enterprise Resiliency Indications & Warning (I&W) systems, creating requirements, CONOPs, architecture artifacts, schedules and risk assessments for space protection and mission resiliency projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate system requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and architecture deliverables for I&W and space protection initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance in the Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) role for major acquisition programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise resiliency baselines.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end integration activities, maintain system schedules, and track technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess and mitigate risks, support baseline closure, and ensure compliance with mission‑critical resiliency standards.
- Produce technical documentation, trade studies, and briefing materials for senior leadership and stakeholder reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably within space, defense, or mission‑critical environments.
- Proven expertise in requirements development, architecture design, and risk management for complex, high‑availability systems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and present to senior stakeholders.
- Eligibility for appropriate security clearance.
