Systems Engineer
Designs, implements, and maintains secure, high‑performance IT networks and systems for a resort environment, focusing on server infrastructure, virtualization, and automation using Windows, Linux, and networking technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and performance metrics to create scalable network and system architectures that support resort growth.
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
- Implement and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) to optimize resource utilization and ensure high availability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell) for provisioning, patching, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Monitor system health, perform capacity planning, and troubleshoot incidents to maintain 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce hardening standards, patch management, and incident response procedures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise network and server infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019) and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration.
- Hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell (or Bash) for automation and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching) and experience with Cisco equipment.
