Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer III providing end‑to‑end planning, development, integration, and evaluation of autonomous systems simulation environments for national security applications, leveraging C++, MATLAB, and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑fidelity simulation models for autonomous platforms supporting mission‑critical analysis.
- Integrate simulation components with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) testbeds.
- Collaborate with government and industry partners to define requirements, validate performance, and ensure interoperability.
- Conduct system‑level testing, data collection, and analysis to evaluate autonomous system behavior under varied scenarios.
- Produce technical documentation, reports, and briefings for stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 5+ years of experience in simulation and autonomous systems.
- Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and Python for model development and data processing.
- Strong knowledge of model‑based design, HIL/SIL integration, and verification & validation methodologies.
- Experience working with government or defense programs and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
