Systems Engineer
Experienced Systems Engineer to design, develop, and sustain the Sentinel ICBM program, applying MBSE, requirements and configuration management, and software development in C++/MATLAB for launch control and facility systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design and integration of ground‑based and airborne launch control systems for the Sentinel ICBM program.
- Develop and maintain model‑based system architectures, functional flow diagrams, and interface specifications using MBSE tools.
- Manage requirements throughout the lifecycle, ensuring traceability, verification, and validation against mission objectives.
- Coordinate configuration management activities, including change control, baseline documentation, and release tracking.
- Perform analysis, simulation, and software development in C++ and MATLAB to support system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—hardware, software, test, and logistics—to resolve technical issues and drive schedule milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience on complex defense or aerospace programs, preferably missile or launch systems.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw) and requirements management platforms (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Strong knowledge of configuration management processes and tools (e.g., Git, CMII).
- Hands‑on programming experience in C++ and MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
