About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop secure system components for aerospace applications, ensuring adherence to Secret‑level security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware and software, performing threat modeling and risk assessments.
- Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and documentation of security controls, including penetration testing and code reviews.
- Maintain and update system configurations, patches, and security baselines on Linux‑based platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on secure design practices and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on secure embedded or aerospace systems.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems, network protocols, and security tools.
- Strong understanding of U.S. government security clearance processes and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
