Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain technical work documents for submarine overhaul, repair, and modernization projects.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure design integrity, schedule adherence, and quality standards.
Lead system test planning, execution, and certification activities at Electric Boat’s shipyard and partner Navy facilities.
Provide technical guidance during design reviews, risk assessments, and change control processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and operational readiness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of systems engineering experience in a naval or shipbuilding environment.
Strong knowledge of submarine systems, overhaul, and repair processes.
Proficiency in technical documentation tools and test management.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
