Systems Engineer - Outreach - Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead outreach activities with government customers, partners, and internal teams to capture requirements and communicate technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain model‑based system architectures, trade studies, and verification plans using MBSE tools.
• Design, prototype, and integrate software components in Python and C++ on Linux platforms to support space and intelligence missions.
• Provide technical briefings, documentation, and reports that translate complex engineering concepts for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to ensure compliance with DoD acquisition standards and mission objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on outreach, stakeholder engagement, or customer liaison roles.
• Proficiency in Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw, Cameo).
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++ on Linux operating systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences.
