About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document system‑level requirements for spacecraft bus autonomy and operational automation.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks that bridge flight software (FSW) and ground software (GSW) environments.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable builds, tests, and deployments for both onboard and ground systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including software, hardware, and mission operations—to validate automated processes and resolve integration issues.
- Develop monitoring, logging, and diagnostic tools to enhance system health visibility and rapid fault isolation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of systems or automation engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for scripting, tool development, and embedded software interactions.
- Strong experience with Linux environments and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise technical requirements and interface specifications.
- Familiarity with spacecraft bus architectures, flight software concepts, and ground system operations is highly desirable.
