Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure across Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for critical energy operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions on Linux, Windows Server, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Configure and maintain virtualized environments using VMware or Hyper‑V, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks with Python and PowerShell scripts, enhancing reliability and reducing manual effort.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and apply patches to maintain uptime and security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new services, support digital transformation initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or related roles within a large enterprise.
- Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows Server administration, networking fundamentals, and virtualization technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Excellent scripting skills in Python and PowerShell for automation and monitoring.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
