Mid‑level Systems Engineer focused on developing and validating signal and sensor models using MATLAB/Simulink, C++, and Python, supporting DoD programs that require a Secret clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and verify high‑fidelity signal and sensor models for aerospace and defense systems.
- Utilize MATLAB/Simulink and Model‑Based Design techniques to create simulation environments and test benches.
- Write and maintain performance‑critical code in C++ and Python for model integration and data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define model requirements, validate against hardware data, and support trade studies.
- Document model architecture, assumptions, and verification results in compliance with DoD standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, C++, and Python for signal processing and sensor modeling.
- Strong understanding of signal processing theory, sensor physics, and model‑based development workflows.
- Active, transferable Secret clearance (or ability to obtain interim clearance) and U.S. citizenship.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced defense environment.
