Mid‑level Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑based and on‑prem infrastructure, leveraging Linux, Windows, AWS, and automation scripting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS and on‑prem environments.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python, PowerShell, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper‑V) and container platforms to support development and production workloads.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security, networking, and storage requirements into system designs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or related IT operations roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in cloud services, preferably AWS, including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
- Solid scripting skills in Python and PowerShell for automation and orchestration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and network automation concepts.
