Systems Engineer
Entry‑level Systems Engineer responsible for installing, administering, and maintaining physical and virtual infrastructure, managing Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and network services using PowerShell and virtualization technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy objects to support end‑user and application needs.
- Deploy and manage virtual machines using Hyper‑V or VMware, including backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor network and server health, troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripts, documenting processes and maintaining configuration management records.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–2 years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware) and backup solutions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and basic networking troubleshooting skills.
