Systems Engineer
Mid‑level Systems Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) solutions for defense customers, leveraging C++, Java, Linux and network security expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate software components for live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) defense systems.
- Implement and maintain Linux‑based platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and troubleshoot network architectures, supporting secure communications between system elements.
- Apply cybersecurity best practices and DoD security requirements to protect system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver sustainment and upgrade solutions for fleet and mission‑critical assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with C++ and Java development in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems and network engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles and DoD security clearance (Top Secret required).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
