Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, high‑availability infrastructure for government clients, leveraging Linux, Python automation, AWS cloud services, and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud and on‑premise environments supporting mission‑critical government applications.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python scripts, Ansible playbooks, and Terraform modules.
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST) through hardening, patch management, and continuous vulnerability assessment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate Applied AI solutions, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize performance.
- Document architecture, procedures, and runbooks, and provide knowledge transfer to operations staff.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Linux system administration and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools, especially Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience implementing security controls and compliance frameworks for government workloads.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
