Systems Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and support of scalable cloud and on‑prem infrastructure that powers global esports events, ensuring high availability, performance, and rapid incident response across cross‑functional teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and on‑prem infrastructure to support live esports events worldwide.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate event technology, monitoring, and automation tools.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and deployment scripts (Python, Bash).
- Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization for event workloads.
- Travel internationally as needed to support on‑site event operations and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or DevOps roles, preferably in live event or broadcast environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on‑prem virtualization.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with monitoring/alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and incident management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team.
