Systems Engineer
Lead and maintain high‑availability data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability using Linux, virtualization, networking, and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage physical and virtual servers, storage, and networking components in a large data center environment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement proactive maintenance to achieve 99.99% uptime.
- Automate routine tasks and configuration management using Python scripts and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate cloud services (AWS) and ensure seamless hybrid infrastructure.
- Document processes, create runbooks, and conduct capacity planning and capacity reviews.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data center operations or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), virtualization (VMware, KVM), and networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP).
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC) and automation tools.
- Proficient scripting skills in Python and familiarity with configuration management.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
