Systems Engineer
Lead component reliability initiatives for mission‑critical defense systems, applying rigorous failure analysis, FMEA, and statistical methods to ensure robust performance across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reliability test plans for electronic components used in defense platforms.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify design or manufacturing issues.
- Apply FMEA and other risk assessment techniques to prioritize mitigation actions.
- Analyze reliability data using statistical tools to derive MTBF, MTTR, and other key metrics.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement corrective actions and improve product robustness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering or component testing within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency with reliability analysis software (e.g., ReliaSoft, Minitab) and statistical methods.
- Strong knowledge of MIL‑STD reliability standards and failure mode classification.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical setting.
