On‑site Systems Engineer supporting mid‑market financial services clients, delivering secure, high‑availability infrastructure with Windows, Linux, and virtualization platforms, while ensuring compliance and rapid incident resolution.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain client‑facing infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and manage virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud integrations to meet client SLAs.
- Configure and monitor security controls, firewalls, and endpoint protection to safeguard client data and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents, providing on‑site support and detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery drills.
Requirements
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience in a managed services or client‑support environment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and experience with configuration management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer‑service skills.
- Valid security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) preferred.
