Systems Engineer needed to design, integrate, and validate custom cyber‑software solutions. Must apply systems‑engineering principles, work in Agile teams, and support secure, mission‑critical applications for a DoD environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end systems engineering lifecycle for custom in‑house cyber software, from concept through verification and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to define, refine, and prioritize system requirements and user stories.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, interface control documents, and traceability matrices to ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and mitigation planning to safeguard classified information.
- Support integration, testing, and validation activities, troubleshooting issues and driving corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Experience applying systems‑engineering processes in an Agile environment, preferably within cybersecurity or defense projects.
- Proficiency in software development concepts and tools used for secure, mission‑critical applications.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
- Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) and U.S. citizenship.
