About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead acquisition planning and execution for complex defense systems, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and milestones.
- Develop and maintain system architecture models using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and SysML.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including hardware, software, and mission analysts—to define requirements, interface specifications, and verification strategies.
- Perform cost, schedule, and risk analyses, providing data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support contract negotiations, source selection, and supplier performance monitoring throughout the system lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in defense acquisition, program management, or systems engineering within a DoD environment.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, or IBM Rhapsody) and analytical software such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS) and contract types.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
