Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, high‑availability infrastructure for federal clients using Linux, Windows Server, networking, AWS, and automation tools like Ansible.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions across on‑prem and AWS environments for federal agencies.
- Configure and maintain Linux and Windows Server platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with federal standards.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python scripts to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new services, conduct capacity planning, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure administration.
- Proficiency with Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell; familiarity with Ansible or similar automation tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and strong communication skills in a collaborative setting.
