About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, integration, and validation of flight and propulsion subsystems for a certified electric air taxi.
- Develop and maintain system architecture models using MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring traceability to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to resolve integration issues and optimize system performance.
- Execute V&V activities, including test planning, execution, and analysis to meet FAA certification milestones.
- Document design decisions, test results, and compliance evidence for regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering for aviation or related high‑integrity domains.
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and Python for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of FAA certification processes and aviation safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
