Software Engineer
Design and maintain system architecture models for the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program, using MBSE tools and SysML to define hierarchies, interfaces, and integration across engineering, test, and production teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain detailed systems architecture models using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and SysML.
- Define and manage system hierarchy, decomposition, interfaces, and relationships to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering, test, production, and program management teams to align architecture with mission requirements.
- Support requirements analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for architecture reviews, trade studies, and configuration management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience applying MBSE methodologies and creating SysML models for complex defense or aerospace systems.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., IBM Rational Rhapsody, No Magic Cameo, or similar) and strong understanding of system hierarchy and interface management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Security clearance eligibility and familiarity with U.S. Navy or defense program standards.
