QA Engineer
Hybrid Systems & Automation Engineer responsible for proactive system ownership, help‑desk support, and building automation solutions to prevent and resolve client issues in a managed service environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑2/3 support for Windows and Linux servers, virtual environments, and SaaS applications across multiple client sites.
- Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts to automate routine tasks, incident remediation, and configuration management.
- Collaborate with the help‑desk team during onboarding to understand client infrastructures, document processes, and create knowledge‑base articles.
- Identify recurring issues, design preventive automation, and implement monitoring/alerting solutions using tools such as VMware vRealize, Office 365 admin center, and third‑party platforms.
- Participate in on‑call rotation, troubleshoot escalated incidents, and ensure timely resolution while communicating clearly with clients.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration (Windows Server, Linux) within an MSP or similar environment.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python; experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, SCCM, or similar) is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi/vSphere) and cloud SaaS services such as Office 365.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex issues, create documentation, and develop automated solutions to reduce manual effort.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset, able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
