Description
- Design, develop, document, and maintain data applications and solutions
- Collaborate actively within Agile teams through sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Assist in technical decision-making alongside project architects
- Conduct quality assurance to ensure robust, reliable results
- Support various IT initiatives awith a focus on data analytics and reporting
- Completion of a 4-year degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a 2-year diploma in Computer Engineering/System Technology
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, and Unity Catalogue
- Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX), Paginated Reports, Oracle BI, Oracle SQL, and Row Level Security
- Proven ability to learn new technologies rapidly and adapt to evolving project needs
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality assurance
- Experience with LakeFS, Azure DevOps, and other Azure services
- Additional proficiency in SQL, Python, and DAX scripting
- Data modeling expertise
- A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or System Technology
- Significant hands-on experience with data analytics, reporting, and modern cloud-based data tools
- Ability to work on-site in downtown Edmonton two days a week, with the possibility of remote arrangements based on experience and qualifications
- Must be adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable navigating new technologies
- Willingness to contribute actively to project planning and delivery cycles
