About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain scalable Windows and Linux server environments for mission‑critical test and training systems.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy to support secure user and device access.
- Deploy and manage virtualized workloads using Hyper‑V, VMware, or KVM, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and VPNs, to support secure data flow between test ranges and command centers.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and Bash scripts, and develop monitoring solutions using tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Azure Monitor.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement hardening, patch management, and incident response procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Windows and Linux servers in a high‑security environment.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware, KVM) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash for automation and configuration management.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to mission‑critical reliability.
