Systems Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across multiple sites using PowerShell automation, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management across multiple locations.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripts and monitor system health using built‑in and third‑party tools.
- Implement and maintain network security policies, firewalls, and VPNs to protect critical data.
- Support virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware) and manage virtual machine lifecycle.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide tier‑2 support for end‑user and system problems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and network protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware) and security best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one is preferred.
