Experienced Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize Windows and Linux environments, virtualization platforms, and cloud infrastructure for high‑availability mission‑critical services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems supporting DoD, intelligence, and enterprise workloads.
- Manage virtualization infrastructure using VMware, ensuring performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity services to enforce security and compliance.
- Automate routine tasks and configuration management with PowerShell and scripting.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across on‑premises and AWS cloud environments.
- Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to implement hardening standards and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Windows Server and Linux platforms in a mission‑critical setting.
- Proficiency with VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management.
- Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell (or comparable) for automation.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM) and cloud‑based system administration.
