Software Engineer
Lead safety engineering for automotive systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and driving risk mitigation through rigorous safety analysis and validation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain safety cases, safety plans, and safety documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct functional safety analyses, risk assessments, and safety validation activities for automotive electronic and software components.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, software, manufacturing) to embed safety requirements early and verify compliance.
- Lead safety audits, reviews, and certification processes, ensuring adherence to ISO 26262 and other relevant standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training on safety concepts to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automotive functional safety, with proven knowledge of ISO 26262.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with safety analysis tools (e.g., HARA, FMEA, FTA).
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
- Proactive mindset, ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
