Systems Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise voice solutions, leveraging VoIP, SIP, and Asterisk on Linux platforms while ensuring seamless integration with Cisco Unified Communications and robust network performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support VoIP infrastructure, including SIP trunking, Asterisk PBX, and Cisco Unified Communications solutions.
- Configure and maintain Linux-based voice servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Develop and automate scripts (Python, Bash) for monitoring, provisioning, and troubleshooting voice services.
- Collaborate with network teams to optimize QoS, bandwidth allocation, and security for voice traffic.
- Diagnose and resolve complex voice-related incidents, providing root cause analysis and preventive measures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in voice engineering or related telecom roles.
- Solid Linux administration skills and scripting experience (Python, Bash).
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals, QoS, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
