About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support secure Windows and Linux server environments for federal clients.
- Configure and manage network components, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to meet stringent security requirements.
- Deploy and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure) in compliance with federal standards.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to document architecture, procedures, and security controls.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in system engineering for government or defense environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, networking protocols, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST, DISA STIG) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (or ability to obtain).
