Systems Engineer
System Engineer responsible for managing Linux servers, performing assurance checks on newly provisioned virtual machines, and supporting enterprise workload migrations using scripting and configuration management tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Execute predefined assurance checks on newly built virtual machines, validating configurations against established checklists.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine operational tasks and configuration validation.
- Support the migration of enterprise workloads to new platforms, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Document operational processes, incidents, and resolutions to improve service reliability.
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux server administration.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies and VM lifecycle management.
- Solid scripting skills, preferably Bash or similar shell languages.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools and best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise workload migrations and operational process improvement.
