System Engineer / Product Owner - Kratos Defense

Key Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product backlog for RF and satellite communication systems, translating customer needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through the full system lifecycle—from concept, design, and integration to test, validation, and field deployment.
• Apply systems engineering principles to ensure architecture integrity, performance compliance, and seamless integration with ground, airborne, and space platforms.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal engineering groups, to resolve technical issues and align product roadmaps.
• Maintain documentation, configuration control, and risk management artifacts in accordance with defense and aerospace standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and product ownership for RF, satellite, or missile communication projects.
• Proven track record managing complex technical programs using Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of RF link design, signal processing, and space‑based communication architectures.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
