Systems Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructures, ensuring robust firewall, VPN, and IDS/IPS solutions while performing security audits and scripting for automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise‑grade firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS to protect critical assets.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify and remediate risks.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python/Bash) for configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into new and existing network architectures.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident playbooks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network security engineering, with hands‑on expertise in firewall, VPN, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and security hardening.
- Hands‑on scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and monitoring.
- Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to threat mitigation.
