Systems Engineer
Provide 24x7 system engineering support for federal and intelligence community environments, handling Windows and Linux servers, networking, virtualization, and scripting while maintaining high‑availability operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver round‑the‑clock operational support for Windows and Linux server platforms supporting federal and intelligence customers.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network and connectivity issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN configurations.
- Manage virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper‑V), including provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or Bash to streamline routine tasks and incident response.
- Coordinate incident response and root‑cause analysis, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and firewall technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and Active Directory management.
