Systems Engineer
Entry‑level System Engineer with federal security clearance, responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure Windows and Linux environments in a cloud‑enabled, highly regulated setting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Windows Server and Linux infrastructure for federal clients, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Configure and manage networking components (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs) to maintain secure connectivity.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Bash scripts, improving deployment speed and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and updates in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop secure solutions and document operational procedures.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and basic automation tools.
- Valid federal security clearance or ability to obtain one.
