Systems Engineer
Senior System Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing datacenter infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across on‑prem and cloud environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain datacenter hardware and virtualized environments (VMware, KVM).
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability; implement proactive maintenance and automation.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking, storage, and backup solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate AWS/Azure services, manage hybrid deployments, and optimize cost.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash) for automation, reporting, and incident response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in datacenter operations and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, VMware, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
