Software Architect
Lead the design and implementation of secure, compliant Microsoft 365 cloud solutions for federal clients, driving architecture, governance, and integration across Azure and Office 365 environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver end‑to‑end Microsoft 365 cloud solutions that meet federal security and compliance requirements.
- Define and enforce governance, identity, and access policies across Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and other Office 365 services.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to design secure migration and hybrid integration strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
- Document architecture designs, technical specifications, and operational runbooks for long‑term maintainability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud architectures for large, regulated organizations.
- Deep knowledge of Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA, Information Protection, and Office 365 security controls.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager templates, and automation of cloud deployments.
- Strong understanding of federal security frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, CJIS) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
