Systems Engineer
Senior System Administrator responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise applications and digital platforms across health, aged care, and community services, leveraging Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware, AWS, networking, and security expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and manage Linux and Windows Server environments to support enterprise applications.
- Maintain Active Directory, group policies, and user access controls across the organization.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripts and monitor system performance with VMware and cloud tools.
- Implement security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
- Document procedures, create runbooks, and provide technical guidance to support staff.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system administration within a complex enterprise environment.
- Proficient with Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware, and AWS services.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security fundamentals.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
