System Administrator responsible for maintaining secure, high‑availability infrastructure for missile defense systems, managing Linux/Windows servers, networking, virtualization, and cloud services while ensuring compliance with Secret clearance requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments supporting mission‑critical missile defense applications.
- Implement and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing protocols to ensure secure data flow.
- Automate routine tasks and system monitoring using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with cyber security teams to enforce hardening standards, patch management, and incident response procedures.
- Provision and manage virtualized resources (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud services (AWS) to support scalable testing and deployment pipelines.
- Document system configurations, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for cross‑team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- 3+ years of experience administering Linux/Windows servers in a high‑security environment.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, VPNs).
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
