Systems Engineer
System Administrator responsible for managing Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization, and network services, leveraging PowerShell automation and VMware technologies in a secure, DoD‑cleared environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux operating systems across the data center.
- Manage Active Directory services, including user provisioning, group policy, and authentication mechanisms.
- Administer VMware virtual infrastructure, handling VM provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and firewall rules to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to streamline routine administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Active Secret DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain interim clearance) and U.S. citizenship.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory administration and PowerShell scripting.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a high‑security setting.
