Systems Engineer
Dynamic System Administrator needed to maintain and secure servers, networks, and virtual environments using Linux, Windows Server, and scripting tools. Focus on performance, reliability, and proactive issue resolution.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to support internal and external connectivity.
- Implement and monitor backup & recovery solutions, performing regular restores and validating data integrity.
- Apply security best practices: patch management, vulnerability scanning, access controls, and incident response.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development and support teams to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, VLANs, routing, and firewall configuration.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or Hyper‑V.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and familiarity with configuration management tools.
