SVP/VP Engineering – AI Data Center Hardware Solutions

About the Role

Our client is a new name in the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence hardware systems. The company has recently come out of stealth mode and has already closed $multi-million backing from premier US and European venture firms.

As a senior customer-facing technical leader, this individual will collaborate closely with engineering, operations and business development to deliver scalable, cost-efficient, and energy-optimised AI data center solutions. The remit will involve collaborating with IC design, hardware platform architecture, and operations to deliver integrated hardware-software solutions optimised for AI/ML workloads and HPC infrastructure.

Requirements

• A recognised track record in the delivery of frontier ML hardware / software systems into leading data centers on an international level.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior engineering leadership roles, combined with deep expertise in large-scale ML or data center development and deployment.
• Proven leadership in building and scaling high-performing customer engineering teams across diverse domains.
• Technical depth of understanding of ML, system scale-out, power delivery and cooling requirements for frontier deployment.
• Extensive experience working with global design and manufacturing partners, including utilising contract manufacturers across board, rack, and complete system build.
• Strong understanding of quality, compliance, and security practices relating to hardware products in hyperscale data center environments.
• Project management experience in early-stage engagements through to customer deployment.
