Lead a team of survivability engineers to develop, analyze, and validate resilient space system designs using risk assessment, reliability modeling, and advanced simulation tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary survivability engineering team delivering resilient space system concepts.
- Develop and execute reliability and risk assessment models, including failure modes, effects, and criticality analyses.
- Perform high‑fidelity simulations and trade studies using MATLAB, Python, and C++ to validate survivability requirements.
- Collaborate with system architects, hardware engineers, and program managers to integrate survivability solutions into overall system designs.
- Define technical standards, metrics, and documentation for survivability engineering across the program lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in survivability, reliability, or risk engineering for aerospace or defense programs.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C++ for modeling and simulation.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes, failure analysis, and reliability prediction methods.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to guide technical teams and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
