Software Engineer
Provide Tier‑2 support for Ericsson's 5G Core UDM, troubleshoot customer issues, manage preventive actions, and handle software updates while adhering to SLA commitments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents related to the 5G Core User Data Management (UDM) function, following defined processes and SLA targets.
- Perform root‑cause analysis, implement preventive actions, and document findings in incident reports.
- Coordinate pre‑emptive maintenance and software update activities, ensuring minimal service impact.
- Collaborate with product, solution, and network teams to provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customers.
- Monitor service health, generate performance metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement of support procedures.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of 5G Core architecture, especially UDM, and related network protocols (SBI, HTTP/2, TLS).
- Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems and scripting languages such as Python for automation and log analysis.
- Proven problem‑management skills, including incident handling, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and software update mechanisms in telecom environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and cross‑functional teams.
